Default Foal rug needed!

-----------------------------------------------

Does anyone have a foal rug that could been loaned or sold to me? I have a foal due in the next two weeks (poor thing not my doing) and it is a tage cold a the mo.

I have found one new over here (tres cher!), and other's at a fairly good price mail order, but as I am not planning to put anything else in foal to produce so early, there may have been someone in the same boat with a rug now sat there covered in dust ( I hope!).

Hi Horseybird, Unfortunatly mine are packed back in the Uk, But I did get my last one from Robinsons Catalogue. They have there catalogue on line so it's worth looking at there website and they will post to france, I cheacked when we were planning to get an order posted over here, but a friend bought it out to us instead.
Hope it's of help, failing that a jumper that has had the sleaves cut shorter is a good option. Put the foal in the jumper, front legs in the arms and head and neack out of the neck of the jumper. Plenty of bedding if you have a shelter or a stable is also good and plenty of hay and feed for the mare.
Good Luck
Regards
Night Hawk

Night hawk is right, they do deliver to France cost £15-00.... that covers all items that you order.
Hope you find something to keep the little one snug.

Hi Guys'

Thanks yes have done the jumper thing before, but that was for a twin foal. And much to my husband's disappointment I do use Robinsons but usually get it delivered to a UK address. What is your experience of delivery times to France?

Many thanks

I have one you could borrow - we're going to France on Sat and it could come with me, BUT we're in 82 , long way from you. Not sure what it would cost to post.

Mine is suitable for something likely to make around 15hh, too big for a very small pony foal. It is an indoor duvet rug so very warm, but not waterproof.

If not, as with jumpers, puffy body warmers work really well and are easy to get on and off.

Hi Karen,

We are quite near the ports or even if you are coming via Dover that is not a problem. Could you email me direct with your phone number please?

The mare is 14.2 and the foal looks enormous! I have fingers crossed it's not 2!

Many thanks. :o

I will post a picture, hopefully all will go well. It will be a bay tabianio - so should be cute! Any idea's on names greatly received, must begin with an "s". Need a Spanish sounding name for another one! Finger crossed that one comes out coloured too, but not holding my breath.

These names will keep you busy:

There are a few coloured horse fans on here. That's one of mine running along the top of the screen along with my fat little cob

Good luck with the foaling.
